How Test Preparation Works

  1. 1

    Practise Realistic Questions

Answer questions based on the format and difficulty of your speaking test.

  2. 2

    Work With a Timer

Practise organising and completing your response within the available time.

  3. 3

    Receive Corrections and Advice

Improve grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency and answer organisation.

  4. 4

Review Your Notes and Try Again

Use clear personal notes and corrected examples to improve your next response.

Practice and Teaching Together

A mock test can show you where you struggle, but it cannot fix the problem by itself. During lessons, we may pause, improve an answer and try the question again. As your test approaches, we can use more complete timed practice to help you perform under realistic conditions.

Your preparation is adapted to your test, speaking level, target, test date and the areas causing you the most difficulty.

A 60-minute lesson is recommended for test preparation so there is enough time for timed questions, detailed feedback and repeated practice.
